Waterpointe II 405 - Oceanfront - Windy Hill Section

We enjoyed our month-long rental! This lovely and relaxed section of North Myrtle Beach has all the beauty but none of the 'crazy'. Close to good entertainment and food. The condo has a Great indoor/outdoor pool and deck, community room that really brings people together. Beach access is super. The unit itself is very comfortable and pleasant, with a fully stocked kitchen and appliances. The balcony has a great view of the beach and is a nice shelter from the wind. Just a couple of suggestions, though. The master bedroom is the only room without a ceiling fan and it really needs one, especially during times like our stay, where neither A/C nor heat really kick on and so there's no air circulation in that room. Also, the master's sliding door is very much in need of either new weatherstripping or complete replacement. While the second and third bedrooms are nicely decorated, updated matresses might be a good idea. Again, we really enjoyed our stay, and these suggestions are just an effort to help the owners with future improvement plans. Thank you!

We stayed in this unit for a week on Sept 2023 and loved it. We where fortunate enough to return in January 2024 and WOW what an amazing transformation in just a few months. It seems just about everything in this unit has gotten a facelift in one way or another. You will have a smile on your face from the minute you open the door and can instantly see the ocean straight ahead through the condo. This unit was clean and comfortable offering 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms with plenty of space in the kitchen, dining area and living room. The balcony is a perfect place to sit and relax while you watch the sun rise and enjoy the view. I was able to work remotely and had no issues with the WIFI connection. We also took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub and loved having direct access to the beach. There are so many local things to do and see in a short drive. We highly recommend this unit and look forward to returning in the near future.

We weren't sure what to expect of this unit from reading previous reviews, but we ended up loving it. It's clear that it has been fixed up/updated. The living room area is so comfortable and lovely with beautiful carpet and freshly painted everything. Sitting on the balcony, watching and listening to the waves was so peaceful. We didn't have any issues with any other parts of the unit. The kitchen had everything we needed. Since we went when the water was colder we did take advantage of the quick walk to the beach, but we also really enjoyed the indoor pool. It was a really lovely stay and we'd love to go back to this unit every year!

First the rental company was fine. I reported numerous issues, they were responsive and repaired what they could even during the weekend. Now the unit. I would NEVER stay in this unit again without lots of work. Unit was very musty smelling due to the carpet. Did not help that the air was off when we checked in (90 degrees).

We reported most of the items we found during the stay and a few on checkout. The person we talked to at the front desk on check out did not seem to care. She did hand us a card to contact the rental manager.

Kitchen ice maker not working, reported it and it was fixed the next day. Cabinets were full of stuff, no room to store any food. Had to rearrange them just to get food off the counter.
Water heater leaking, tray has standing water. Dishwasher lower tray does not fit and is missing wheel, difficult to use.

Master bedroom
No ceiling fan, room faces beach and can get warm.
Curtain rods & wall trim coming loose from wall. Obvious issue, should have been repaired prior to renting. They were going to repair once we left per our request. Closet full of stuff, very little storage available. If hanging clothes, can't shut closet door.

Master bathroom Bath
Mold in tub, had to be cleaned prior to using it. Mildew/mold around vent, ceiling paint peeling badly.

Second bedroom
Nice size room but again closet full of stuff, almost unusable.

Third bedroom
Very small, no closet, no storage

Bathrooms
No counter space

Exterior Door to Unit would not lock without almost slamming it.

Patio door to master bedroom would not lock
Patio screen door to living room would not slide

Complex
We did like the pool area but the outdoor pool is small for the complex and there is no shade around pool.

Trash has to be carried to the street from the unit.

This unit needs alot of things fixed. Carpet dirty and coming up in front of slider door, water tank leaking,some electrical outlets don't work or are loose, ceiling vents appear to have black mold, master bedroom ceiling looks like they painted over black mold, ceiling fans were very dirty, ceilings are cracked everywhere, window by front door has torn screen and a board in it, front door paint is peeling off, 2 of the 5 dining chairs were not able to use. For the price I was very disappointed

Views of the ocean and the sound of the surf are what I will remember most about our stay. The unit was spacious enough to be comfortable for our family of four. The interior was clean and well decorated. One of the toilets evidently had a poor flapper seal, which was a minor nuisance—we simply turned the water supply off when not in use.

The Water Pointe II, 405 was a good condo in the perfect location for a less commercialize area. The beach, outdoor and indoor pool and just the right view from the balcony make kids and adults happy. The furnishings are good and the kitchen has what you need to prepare meals in. I called with a few requests for hair dryer, iron and another set of towels and they took care of it. We weren’t pleased with the TV nor Wi-Fi service but that’s minor. The remote for one tv was corroded and we never got it resolved fully even though maintenance came while we were out and left instructions. We would rent again and we loved the area. Lots of things to do and places to eat and shop close by.

We stayed here last year also. Will come back again. Property is clean and well maintained. The people in charge of landscaping with the plants and flowers do a great job.

The property was exactly like the pictures, exact location. It was very clean, very friendly staff and management. Definitely recommend this location and unit. Make sure you check out the Medevil Dinner and show, the restaurant Dicks last resort, Hollywood's Wax Museum, Ripley's Aquarium and don't forget about the dolphin cruises.

Everything was expected to be. The room was nice, just that the pics were probably from when they first did the remodel. Since then there has been a lot of traffic in there, but over all it was a good stay. I would come back..

Vacation was fantastic as it was a very clean place and overlooking the sea. The only downfall is the quilt/comforter had stains.

Sleep getaway! Was a great Spring getaway. The washing machine was not working so they offered to clean our laundry. That was such a nice surprise! The maintenance staff were very attentive. The heated pool was a Godsend since the ocean temperature was cool.
