This event is a holiday highlight to many locals on the Grand Stands in Murrells Inlet. You family can head over to Brookgreen Gardens and see it come to life among the soft glow of more than 5,000 candles and sparkling lights. Walk along the paths with a cup of hot cider, listen to the sounds of hand bells ringing and carolers singing. Come celebrate the Nights of a Thousand Candles with your friends and family to help celebrate the holiday season this year. The event happens every Thursday through Sunday from now until January, 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Watching Christmas shows during the month of December can be one of the best things to do in North Myrtle Beach during the holidays. And when you have finished driving through the light show, go visit Santa’s Village for some extra special fun. You can enjoy some village treats, ride on Santa’s Express Train, slip & slide down Santa’s Super Slide and Ice Skate the night away. To help end the night, let the kids visit with Santa!

Are you looking to have a little fun on Fridays with the family? If so, then look no further as you can come to Thompson Farm every Friday night. Here you will be able to see if you can make it through the largest corn maze in the state which can be a little challenging. And when you have completed the maze, then why not join in for a fun Halloween movie each Friday night in October from 6 pm to 11 pm. Admission is $10 per person but there will be refreshments for you to enjoy like coffee, hot cider & s’mores.

Brookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend Festival

On Saturday, October 6th come with your family for a fun weekend at Brookgreen Gardens’ Harvest Home Festival. Here you will be able to take part in building a scarecrow, take a wagon hay ride, learn to spin wool, live entertainment and so much more! This festival is including with your garden admission and runs from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm on October 6th & October 7th, 2018. Barefoot Landing Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkins available are small for $3, medium for $8, large for $10, extra large for $12 and Speciality for $15. And there will be live music every Friday & Saturday night from 6 pm to 9 pm. BooFest! at Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing is having their BooFest! again this year. Here they will be hosting a kids’ and pets costume contest on Saturday, October 27th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be prizes awarded for the best costumes for the kids and pets. They will also have live entertainment and activities for everyone to be a part of. Don’t miss out on this event because who doesn’t want to see cute pets in costumes?

Trick or Treating on Halloween

Beginning at 5 pm you and your family are invited to visit shops and restaurants to go trick or treating ending at 7 pm. Pier Fishing in North Myrtle Beach this Fall

Beachcomber vacation rentals, you will be close to 2 different fishing piers. We know that some of the most relaxing fishing can be done on one of the local piers. Below are our picks for the North Myrtle Beach fishing piers.

Cherry Grove Pier

Cherry Grove Pier is a wonderful pier to start fishing at if you have never done so before. Many visitors come to the quaint town of Cherry Grove, SC and was built in the 1950’s. This pier has been family owned since 1965 and many have considered this as an iconic landmark. If you are coming to try out fishing but don’t have any fishing gear, have no fear. Cherry Grove Pier will allow you to rent fishing rods and you can get your fishing license here too. It costs $24 all day to rent a rod with a $30 deposit on it. It will cost you $16 for after 3 pm. And if you don’t feel the need to fish, you can walk the pier for $3. If you bring your own rod then it will be $3 for admission and $7.50 for each rod. They also carry fishing bait and a full line tackle shop as well.

14th Avenue Pier

The 14th Avenue Pier has been around since the 1920’s. It is known to many locals as the historic pier and has the famous Pier 14 restaurant there. The restaurant has been known to many visitors as one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach. You can come and rent fishing poles again where it costs $8 plus a $20 refundable deposit. If you are looking to fish with your own gear, then it costs $7 for the fishing pass and $2 for an additional pole. Please note that they do have a pole limit per person so you can only use 2 poles per person. 14th Avenue Pier also has bait in their shop so you are able to grab squid, shrimp, mullet and finger mullet for your fishing trip. They are open from 7 am to 11 pm so don’t miss out on the fun! Pier Fishing in North Myrtle Beach this Fall While there are other fishing piers that you can visit in the Myrtle Beach area, we just thought these two were a good option for you. And if fishing off a pier is just not for you, there are other fishing adventures you can do while in North Myrtle Beach. If you want to still fish but not sure what to do, how about try out a Deep-Sea fishing experience. You will be able to catch more fish and just the experience itself is a perfect family outing. Please note that this property allows a total of 2 cars parking per each unit, is non-smoking and no pets are allowed. You also have access to an outdoor pool as well as a double sun deck.

Another property that you and your family may enjoy for your vacation would be Wyndham Ocean Blvd in a 2 bedroom condo and can sleep up to 8 people! This is an oceanfront resort for you and your family to enjoy! Not only does this resort offer you beautiful views but it also has relaxing pools and even a lazy river for you to go in and relax the day away. This condo does have a fully equipped kitchen, a Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, a washer & dryer and does have free internet access. This property does allow for 2 cars to park, but does not allow pets and is a non-smoking unit. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing deal!

For the next few weeks there are several other properties that will be perfect for you and your family to enjoy. Island Palms is a 2-bedroom condo on the upper floor that is right across the street from the beach. It also has a small outdoor pool for you to enjoy and it does come with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and so much more. Plus, if you want to bring your pet along with you there is a $200 pet fee but your dog is allowed with you. Please note that you will have to park under the building so the height for your vehicle can be no larger than 6’6”. What a neat home for you to make it yours for the week of your vacation!
